Solon’s Song of the Sirens

A few tips on the best ways to use perhaps the best song that bards are gifted with….

Solon’s Song of the Sirens: Level 27, purchased at Kelethin Bard Guild

Effect: Charms opponents for approximately 10 seconds. Also wipes Damage counter.

Info: Works better when Charisma is high & works better with wind instruments.

There are a few different ways to use this song to its full potential. You can make something your pet and command it. You can enlist a temporary helper. You can stop kill stealing. You can save your Hide!

This works great because when you’re in the middle of melee you don’t have to give "/pet commands". Once charmed your pet goes into guard mode, which means he will attack anything that hits you.
After a bit of practice you will find that you can take down 2 pledge familiars or two initiate familiars on your own very safely!! I am sure that this method could come into play in many situations but I used to do it lots in Mistmoore.
TIP: If you have more then 2 opponents try charming the first one, attacking the second one, and singing Kelin’s Lucid Lullaby. This will make the others stand around with the occasional hit, but for the most part they are waiting for there turn to die. Pf-1 breaks the charm, you target pf-1, stop lullaby and re-charm him, the start up lullaby again. On more then one occasion I took out 3-4 blue’s on my own… although it is hard… so stay near the zone okay? J

Well that’s about all I have to offer… I hope the info helps you out a bit and I hope you come up with some methods of your own. Charming is a POWERFUL song when used properly and you will go far using it.
